Marketing Agency Careers in Toronto — Work With Digitex Crew

Digitex Crew is a Toronto marketing agency with its office in North York, at 1315 Finch Ave W. We publish confirmed openings on this page — nothing speculative, no placeholder postings. If no role is listed below, you can still send your portfolio for future consideration. Read about how we work or see the services you'd help deliver.

Why Work With Us?

We're a deliberately lean team: senior people doing the work, no account-manager layers between you and the client, and no pitching work you'd be embarrassed to put your name on. Everyone here answers the phone, joins client calls, and sees campaigns through from brief to results report.

Client Work

Work on practical marketing problems for real Canadian businesses — websites that rank, ads that convert, and content people actually watch.

Small Team

Collaborate directly across web, search, social, and creative work instead of being siloed in a single department.

Digital Focus

Build skills across modern marketing tools and channels, from Google Search Console to Premiere Pro and TikTok.

North York Office

Work from our office at 1315 Finch Ave W in North York, Toronto, with flexibility for heads-down remote days.

Who We Hire

These are the roles a lean digital agency like ours genuinely staffs — listed so you know what to build a portfolio for, not as a promise of open seats. When a position opens, we contact people whose work we've already seen.

Web Developers

Front-end and full-stack developers who build fast, SEO-friendly websites for Toronto small businesses — custom builds and WordPress, always mobile-first, with Core Web Vitals that pass. You'd take sites from scoping to launch and hand clients something they can actually maintain.

Web & Graphic Designers

Designers who turn a local business's personality into website layouts, brand assets, and ad creative. You'll balance brand guidelines with conversion best practices, present work directly to clients, and refine designs based on real feedback.

SEO Specialists

Specialists who live in keyword research, technical audits, and local rankings. You'll build content briefs around real Toronto search demand, optimize Google Business Profiles, track ranking movement, and explain changes to clients in plain language.

Video Editors

Editors who cut ads, reels, and brand stories that hold attention in the first three seconds. You'll handle client revisions calmly and deliver platform-ready cuts for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube on real deadlines.

Social Media Managers

Managers who plan monthly content calendars, write captions in each client's voice, schedule posts, and engage communities across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn. You'll track what drives calls and bookings — not just likes.

How to Apply

Email your resume and portfolio — or links to live work, GitHub repositories, or channels you've grown — to contact.digitexcrew@gmail.com, and put the role type in the subject line (for example, “SEO Specialist application”). Tell us briefly which Toronto neighbourhoods or industries you've worked with — local context matters here.

We read every application ourselves. If there's no seat open today, we'll keep your portfolio on file and contact you before we post the next relevant opening. Questions first? Contact our North York team.

What It's Like to Work at Digitex Crew

Job postings list requirements; this is what the day-to-day actually feels like on a lean team serving small businesses across the GTA.

Digitex Crew is a small team on purpose. There are no departments walled off from each other, and no account managers passing second-hand instructions between you and the client. The person who scopes a project is usually the person who does the work — and if you join us, that person will often be you. You sit in on the first client call, ask your own questions, and hear feedback directly, which is the fastest way to get good at this job.

The work itself is practical and varied. One week you might be rebuilding a booking website for a salon in Vaughan; the next, writing local SEO pages for a Scarborough contractor, cutting short-form video for a Markham restaurant, or pulling a monthly report that a client in Etobicoke can actually understand. Because we serve small businesses across the GTA, no two clients look the same, and the work rarely gets repetitive.

You also get exposure to the business side of an agency — how projects are priced in Canadian dollars, how timelines get set, and how we decide which tools are worth paying for. If you have only ever done one narrow slice of marketing, that breadth changes how you think. People who work at small agencies tend to become very capable, because they have seen how all the pieces connect.

We work in plain language. Our clients are small-business owners, not marketers, so nobody here is rewarded for jargon. If you like explaining things clearly, taking real ownership of a project, and seeing your work go live for a business you can actually visit in person, you will fit in well.

How Our Hiring Process Works

Hiring at a small agency is personal — every hire changes the team. Here is how the process typically runs, so you know exactly what to expect before you apply.

01

Application Review

Send your resume and examples of your work to contact.digitexcrew@gmail.com. Two of us read every application personally. We look at the work first — a live site you built, a GitHub repo, a channel you edited — and the resume second.

02

First Conversation

If the work fits, we invite you to a relaxed conversation, over video or in person at our North York office, whichever is easier. Expect questions about projects you have done, how you handle feedback and deadlines, and why you want to work with small local businesses.

03

A Paid Trial Task

For most roles we agree on a small, real piece of work — a homepage mock-up, a short edit, a mini audit — done on your own time and paid whether or not you take the job. It shows us how you think, and it shows you what our briefs look like. We never ask for free spec work.

04

Decision

Once the trial is in, we decide quickly. Every shortlisted candidate gets a straight answer — yes or no — and honest feedback if you ask for it. Strong runners-up stay on file and are often contacted before a role is ever posted publicly.

From first email to final answer, the whole process usually takes two to three weeks, depending on everyone's schedules. If something on our side causes a delay, we tell you rather than leaving you wondering — the same plain-language courtesy we owe our clients.

Growth & Development

Career growth at a small agency looks different than at a big one. Here is what it tends to look like here, honestly described.

There is no formal ladder here — growth looks like taking on harder projects and bigger client relationships. After your first few launches, you start scoping your own work, presenting directly to clients, and helping whoever joins after you find their feet.

You also keep learning by doing. Search and social change constantly — right now that means optimizing for AI answer engines alongside classic local SEO — and because we are a small team, nobody stops you from testing a new tool or approach on a real project. When a campaign works, we dissect why together; when it flops, we do the same, without blame.

If you want a corporate training catalogue and a new title every year, a bigger agency will suit you better. If you want to look back after a year and realize you can now design, write, optimize, and present work you could not before, that is what this team is built for.

How People Grow Here

  • Own projects end to end, from the first client brief to launch and reporting
  • Present your work directly to the business owners it affects
  • Learn across disciplines — web, search, social, and video reinforce each other
  • Get honest feedback on every project in team reviews, win or lose

Life at the Studio

A realistic picture of a normal week, so you know what you are applying to before you spend time on an application.

The work itself

Most weeks mix client delivery with internal work: shipping pages for a Toronto contractor's website on Monday, cutting a batch of short-form videos midweek, then reviewing Google Business Profile rankings for a clinic before the week closes. Projects are big enough to matter but small enough that you see your own work go live — usually within weeks, not quarters.

Because we are a small team, the lines between roles stay porous. A designer sits in on SEO planning; an editor hears why a client chose a hook. That overlap is deliberate: work made with the whole funnel in mind is simply better, and it makes people better at their own craft too.

How the week runs

We keep a light structure: a short Monday planning call to set the week, focused work blocks with chat muted, and a Friday review where everyone shows what shipped. Client communication happens in shared channels, so context is never locked in one person's inbox — if a client asks a question while someone is away, anyone can answer it.

Deadlines are set with the people doing the work, not handed down, and overtime is the exception rather than the culture. When a launch week runs hot, we bank the balance afterward — the same respect for sustainable pace we promise our own clients.

Questions Candidates Ask Us

A few things applicants regularly want to know before sending a portfolio — answered the same way we would answer them in person.

What should my portfolio include?

Three or four pieces you are genuinely proud of beat twenty average ones. For developers, link to live sites or repositories. For designers and editors, show the finished piece and say what your part was. For SEO, a short write-up of a ranking problem you solved — what you changed and what happened — is worth more than a certificate.

Do you work with freelancers or contractors?

Sometimes. Client workload spikes — a large site build or a video campaign — and we bring in trusted freelancers we already know. If that is how you prefer to work, send your portfolio and day-rate expectations the same way you would apply for a role, and we will reach out when a project matches.

I am a student or recent graduate — should I still apply?

Yes, if the work is strong. We care more about what you can show than how many years you have been working. Class projects, volunteer builds for a community group, or a personal channel you grew all count, as long as you can explain the thinking behind them.

Do I need previous agency experience?

No. Some of the best people in this industry came from freelancing, in-house roles, or an unrelated field entirely. What matters here is whether you can communicate clearly, take feedback without drama, and deliver work you would sign your name to.

Open Positions

No positions are currently published. That changes as client work grows — send your portfolio using the instructions above, and we'll keep it on file for the next opening.
